this was just sent to me as a local sound new
Nothing new at all. It's been there as long as I have been going to the Rio... http://www.riolasvegas.com/things-to-do/ibar-ultra-lounge.html#.U6jf9vndX_E
wierd just sent out a letter from the head of rio inviting every one to it, seemed new dont know why they would bother then
Trying to get people to go back, I'd guess. I wouldn't be surprised if they have some updated or new gizmo's they want to show off.
they also set out free play with the invite
I bar is no longer relevant and the Rio has been on the slow decline, to the point where I don't think they compete with other off strip properties.
What was cutting edge 7 years ago with that Microsoft Table top technology has been quickly replaced by mobile enablement on phones and tablets.
The only thing I like about ibar anymore is the scantly dressed cocktail servers they had. The "I" candy made the $15 drink prices palatable.
With better buffets, bars, and the loss of Masquerade in the Sky, I don't see any reason to visit that CET property outside of the VooDoo Lounge.
Very true. Rio used to be the go-to for my annual "Let's lay by the pool when it's hotter than the hubs of hell" trip. But with no topless pool, cut back buffets, and a property that's showing A LOT of wear and tear, I'm doing the Flamingo this summer instead. The property no longer makes up for the fact the strip is a shuttle ride away.
