    My Trip Report

I've been sitting here, typing my little heart out, writing my long overdue trip report, and my internet kicked off! I lost everything! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] I just cannot tell a short story. Guess I had been on one page too long. Oh well. One day, when I get more time I'm gonna get around to that trip report, and maybe I can do a condensed version.

Kinda too late, but I always write mine in Word or something off-line, so I don't have to write it all at once, and can edit it. Then I just have to copy and paste it into the box and add the smileys.

Sorry, tho, barby - I feel your pain. :(

Dang--that sucks! I, too, write mine in Word and then copy into the dialog box here & add the graemlins (if you add smiley faces in Word, they turn into "J" when you copy them in.) Better luck next writing!!

I also did my last (and only - so far) trip report in MS Word and then cut and paste it here. While I'm typing it I remember to save it just like voting - early and often - LOL

The other stuff - replies to various posts (like this one) - I just type in.

Sorry about you losing your report though Barby.

I do mine in Word as well...for two reasons...one, I had the same experience Barby did early on, and I never want that to happen again, and two, since I do them from work, that's a lot less internet time logged (yes, it's the same amount of time not working, but you see what I'm getting at...hahahahaa).

Barby, I had to laugh at the "condensed version" comment...I swear, every time I start to write one, I intend it to be the condensed version, and then before I know it, my fingertips are numb, and I'm pages into it. [IMG]

Am I the only one who does the trip report in WordPro first, then copy/paste? I don't use Word.

You can use any word processing program to type your report, then just cut & paste (I copy & paste because I keep a copy of my trip report in my own files, in the Word version) into the box here. You can then go back and edit here, in the dialog box, if you want to add graemlins or any ubb code like italics or bold. Another good reason to do it in a word processing program is if you work on it over a few days, on more than one computer (at work, at home) It's just easier, if you tend to write quite a bit (guilty....)

Yeah, I had the same thing happen to me... lost an entire report.. ever since then.. I always write it in word... it's easier to edit and you can post it at a couple of sites... well, if you are currently dating more than one Vegas message board...

Also, for the computer novice... copy and paste should be one of the skills you need to master.

Ok, y'all, I'm stupid. (Well, not really -except when it comes to a computer. [IMG] ) I know all about cut & paste, but copy & paste I don't. Guess I'm gonna have to learn, huh?

Did you guys read on the strip hotels board about that guy that said he thinks he has the "disease"? Well.....I know I've got it, and I've got it BAD. Just got back a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm going back during Thanksgiving!!!!!! It's no wonder Las Vegas is called the Lost Wages - these trips are gonna break me! But, who cares, right? You only live once!

    Hey LV Terry,
I'm thinking that even my condensed version will be way too long. (Can you tell yet that I talk too much?) I can tell you right now though, that mine won't be as funny as yours! Man, I'm still laughing at that one! Hopefully, I'll get my report up sometime this weekend.
