I was just looking at the Bellagio website and saw that Hyde is open from 5pm. I'm not much of a club person but was thinking it would be nice to stop by in the afternoon, have a drink or two and watch the fountains. Does anybody have any input or experience about this timing... How busy would it be? Would there be a cover charge, etc?

It won't be overly busy on a typical day and it's nothing like a club until after 10:00 PM. It's a great spot for a before dinner drink. Make a reservation to help ensure a better table with a nice view of the fountains.

Great place to have a drink before dinner! The view of the fountains is phenomenal. We went on a Thursday at 8ish and stayed a good while. I would call and reserve a table if you want a good view.
Here is the view from the center table that looks out over the water. I could sit here for hours!

I used to love going to that space before it became Hyde. But, I have to say, it works well to pop in early. Quiet and you get that same, phenomenal view of the fountains. Well worthwhile.

Agree with what everyone has said. I went their solo and the CW even took my photo with fountains in the background.

Yeah, reminds me also to the view BEFORE Hyde. the bar that used to be there. Live music behind the bar in the sitting area, walk outside, have a drink watch the fountain show. Yeah, days gone bye. More clubs, ultra lounges......higher prices.......yeah, not what it was back in the day. too bad

Do any of you know if they make any of their signature drinks NA? I have been a non-drinker for almost 20 years. I think Hyde is such a great place to sit and relax a little bit before dinner or when taking a step away from the tables. Sometimes I feel like I'm bothering a waitress with my small soda order, I know that's probably more on me than them though.

And generally very quiet, too. I think a lot of people don't realize that it's open in the afternoon, since without the line out front, there's no way to really tell whether or not anything's going on in there.

Last trip to Vegas we popped into Hyde around 5:30. There were only 2 or 3 other people. We were escorted to a booth right by the fountains. It was like our own private cocktail lounge. I am not sure what the signature drink is. My husband ordered a beer and I had the frozen drink that a delightful cocktail hostess made in front of us. ( I am not sure of her correct title, perhaps a mixologist?). Pretty sure she makes big tips later in the evening, but she had time to chat with us and was friendly and charming. Of course she got a good tip as well. The drink was made with frozen nitrogen, I think. It was outstanding. I would highly recommend stopping in early if you have the time. The fountains are breath-taking from there and we got some beautiful pictures. We are not the night club crowd and this was our chance to enjoy this wonderful lounge without the crowds and loud music.
