Greetings. I stumbled across the message board a few days ago when googling ‘something’ vegas related. I have no clue what it was. After lurking a bit I signed up and replied to a few posts. Lots of good info here. Still trying to get some of the acronyms down (there’s a sticky for that) and learning some tips along the way. I mostly play BJ and craps with the majority of time at the BJ table. Usually I’m very close to the craps table just in case I need to make a quick jump to a hot table. I love craps but prefer to play when I know the people at the table, and the majority of my trips to vegas are solo.

As the name implies, I love downtown vegas. 12 years ago my bro-in-law and I decided to start an annual trek to vegas during football playoffs. We get along great and there's no time wasted w/ the normal group issues (i.e. "what do you want to do?" "I don't care, what do you want to do?" type stuff). Our first trip we stayed at Fitzgeralds and haven’t looked back. We had both stayed on the strip for prior trips, but we loved the customer service downtown and the close proximity of all the casinos, so downtown has become the favorite stop. My typical sessions are at the D and GG each trip. Have a great host and love the friendly staff at both places.

Have been lucky enough to visit four times this year (solo) and hope to make one more before the end of the year. Then there’s the annual January trip w/ the bro-in-law. Solo trips are always work related, but there’s always time for a little play. No matter where I’m staying, I always find a way to get downtown and play a little (or a lot).

Thanks for all the info on the board, this will probably be my longest post on the board!
Trip reports? We’ll see. My trips are fairly redundant and could seem boring in the eyes of most (drink, gamble, eat, sleep, repeat). :)
