I have been a reader for awhile but finally decided to hop on. Been to Vegas 11 or 12 times. Was on a fairly annual trip basis until kids happened. So it has been 9.5 years since my last trip(9/06 stayed at Wynn).

Wife and I are breaking away 4/22 thru 4/24 for a weekend getaway to see George Strait at the Las Vegas Arena or whatever it is now called. Staying at the Monte Carlo.

I would love to hear any must eats or must sees now. We are fairly low rollers staying in the $15 to $25 bet range for me and slots for the wife.

    Thanks for any info.

Welcome to the board fellow Texan. My wife and I are also attending the George Strait concert, staying at the NYNY. Hopefully it will be a good concert.

Welcome to VMB ShotKDR from another Texan.

We've been to George Strait concerts 3 times (once in Austin) and every single time was just as great as the one before - he is a class act.

Welcome to the board & congrats you finally are making it back to LV! Much has changed in the past 9 yrs +..... Did you ever try Mon Ami Gabi @ Paris? One of our favs with a patio table to enjoy the fountains & people watch. The food is very good also. Wide variety menu and not too expensive...just a lovely place for breakfast or dinner. Try to make it over to the Linq promenade area....just a neat place to explore.

Good luck & hope you enjoy your trip & concert!!
