I notice when creating a new Thread the software does an Auto-Save.
While in the middle of creating a trip report the browser crashed and lost over an hour worth of work.
    How can it be recovered?
If it can't than what is the use of having it Auto-Save?

Don't you hate when that happens! What lots of folks do is write their trip reports in Word or some other word processor program and then copy and paste into the browser. Sorry I can't help with recovery.

Sorry for the delay in replying, but I was out of town without internet access. :(

Thanks for the reply. I guess I forgot to have an e-mail reply to this thread as I just noticed the reply.

I ended up doing it over from scratch within Word first.

Where is this "Restore Auto-Save" button? I was half expecting something like that but couldn't see anything that indicated it would recover my post.

Would you happen to have a screen shot?

Apparently I don't. I need to read how this works and figure it out for you. I'll add that to the list. Sorry!

I played around with this and figured it out.
I started a new thread and closed my browser before posting it.
Came back to VMB, started a new thread, at the bottom of the screen you type in, a button says Restore Auto-Saved Content.
I took a screenshot but its a word document.

I wonder if there are requirements or restrictions that you must follow or certain steps.
For example, since I posted this question afterward, maybe my saved work is no longer available now.
