We would like to go to Wally World and pick up some water, styro containers( since the hotels don't have fridges), and some candy for our room. What's our best bet to get there and back- a bus or a cab or? From Harrah's.

For time/money/effort of going to WM you might be better off finding a nearby Wal-Greens. Google says busing it would be on the Duece then 201 and 54 minutes one-way plus the fare.

Yeah, walgreen should probably fit your needs.

My parents went to Walmart last time they were in Vegas and said it was $25 each way by cab to get to the closest one.

There's a Walmart a short walk across the street from Sam's Town. Coincidentally the free Sam's Town shuttle goes between Harrahs and Sam's Town. It drops off and picks up at the the back of Harrahs. What you're trying to do though sounds like a big hassle for a small reward, and this is coming from someone who is no stranger to going the extra mile to save a few bucks. You're better off asking housekeeping for a couple extra ice buckets and going to one of the Walgreens locations on the strip.
