I have some friends making their first trip to LV and going to the nhra races. What's the best way to get to the speedway? I saw there's a shuttle, but it's 45/day per person, it seems like a cab would be just as cheap. They are staying at MGM if it makes a difference. They are open to renting a car but want to know options.

Is that $45 round-trip? If so, that's much cheaper than a cab would be.

Shuttle would be cheaper than a cab. Rental car is best option even if only for one day. Problem with shuttles is you are on their schedule. No flexibility.

The shuttle would be best, but depending on how many ppl a limo can be cheaper. Taxi charges by minute and mile and you will do some sitting in traffic. The city runs buses, but that takes a long time.

When I went there I used Presidential Limo. It was $40 per person round trip.

    All Three Days ?

If you are going to both days of qualifying and the finals I'd say rent a car. The trip to and from the track is pretty straightforward, and it's not like NASCAR traffic at all.

A bit of seating advice, if you are not sun people get reserved tickets, the GA stands face west and get sun all day.

Have fun, it's a great track.
