How stingy is Mlife with free rooms?

I am TR Gold and get free rooms at any of their locations. However, I am less than impressed with the quality of those rooms and would love to get Mlife rooms comped as well.

How deep do you have to go to start getting the Mlife rooms comped? I usually play poker and $25-50 a hand BJ for 2-4 hours per day. Will this get it done or should I stick with CET?

you may get some offers, but don't expect a free room whenever you want like you'll get with CET. and the lower end Mlife properties that you're more likely to be comped at aren't necessarily a ton better than what CET has to offer. i only think the Mlife hotels are much better when you get to the higher end.

That might be enough for a free room at one of the mid tier properties... but you will likely need to concentrate your play at one casino.

Also you don't entirely have to give up on Total Rewards. What you could try doing is staying at a Total Rewards property next trip if thats where you are getting the deep discounts or free rooms, and then put in almost all your play at the MGM properties to see if that will trigger anything from them and at what level.

Playing poker in the poker rooms isn't going to get you any comped rooms. You do earn from $1-$1.50 an hour in comp money when you play in an mlife room but it has no bearing on your mlife tier level. All the Poker comp money you earn can only be used at that specific property.

So if you play poker at say Excalibur, you give the floor person your card and they log you in. You play say 6 hours of poker you would earn $6 in comp money that you can use at a restaurant at Excalibur.

You wont earn any tier credits, express comps, holiday gift shop points or any hard room or food comps.

You could probably get some free rooms for Sun thru Thursday if you concentrated all of your BJ play at Monte Carlo. Their rooms are pretty good and their BJ games are decent for your betting level. Give it a try and see how you do ...

I agree, at that level, try for the lower teir, maybe mid-tier MGM properties and you should get some offers. concentrate your play at Excal, Luxor, Monte Carlo or NYNY. I don't think NYNY has a poker room, and Monte Carlo is probably the bets of the remaining three

I would concentrate my play at Aria they seem pretty free with comps for table games players. Also you get $2 an hour comps in poker room and can get a pretty good poker rate from the poker room.

I think I need to clarify a bit. I play poker for fun and to increase the bankroll. I play BJ because that is what my wife likes to play, and that is where I earned my comps in the past. I am fine with continuing that strategy at Mlife if it will get us free rooms at Mirage or better, but would not be interested at all in Excalibur or Luxor.

I would think 4 hours a day of $25-50 BJ would get you a free room at Monte Carlo, and maybe even Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand or Mirage.

But if you can get a free room at Caesars Palace, I would probably stick with TR - while Caesars Palace might not be as nice as Aria or Bellagio, IMO it's still an equal or better property than Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Mirage or Monte Carlo.

I do similiar to what you do, but I play some pai gow in there also sometimes and my hours per day are about 4-5. I agree with concentrating on one property. I stick to mirage and aria. I get 1-2 free nights at mirage during the week, and discounted rates at 29-39 on weekdays, and 49-59 on weekends. Aria I usually get offers of just discounted rates 79.00 a night, and some resort credits of 25-50. My play at aria is strickly pai gow only though.
