Hey all. Poker comp newbie and looking for some Summer Vegas trip guidance. Going to the wsop this year hopefully to play in satellites and maybe a few low buying and was wondering how much live poker I'd have to put in on an average week between now and let's say May 1 to get any chance at comped rooms at a HET property? Thanks in advance!

Hope you have a comfortable seat...I believe you earn 28 TC for each hour of play at 1/2 NL. So that's $0.28/hr in comps. Even 10 hours/day would get you less than $3 in comps. I'm sure you already realize this, but casinos don't really make much from a poker room, so they don't comp much in exchange.

1/2 NL is 19 TC/hour in Las Vegas and probably less in Chicagoland, but AFAIK they're all 100 RCs/hour so $1 soft comps either way.

I'd pump $20.00 into a video poker machine on a couple of those trips, and I'd bet you'll start to see some offers come through for Vegas. It doesn't take much to get things rolling with CET.
