How long does it take to get through the McCarran taxi line on a Friday aroung 10pm?

And how long is the hotel registration line at Mirage? An hour?

On a normal night, the taxi line isn't too long on Friday. Maybe 5-10 minute wait depending on casino. Some taxi lines are longer (15-20 min wait). On fight night, taxi lines are crazy long.

If the line is really long, you can go up to the front and slide the guy who is waiving and opening doors for people. Slide him $5-10 then the wait is less than a minute. I always do this when the lines are really long.

Even when the turnstiles are full the line move quickly and only takes 20 minutes.

@RB - I'm wondering how you get access to the attendant since the only access is via the turnstile lanes. I don't recall the ability to approach the attendants without first going through the maze nor have I witnessed anyone gaming the system.

I wasn't clear before my edit. His reply was referring to the hotel taxi line. I hadn't specified I was asking about the McCarran taxi line. My bad.

I can see how slipping the hotel cabmaster a few bucks gets you through quicker.

I just walk up to the side of the front of the line. Tell them I'll hook it up. Show them the money then give them a handshake sliding the money.

I remember for the last Mayweather fight, the lines were so long. This was the first time I saw inadequate amount of taxis.

My bad. I didn't read it clearly.

Taxi lines aren't bad on Friday night at the airport. I usually fly in 7-9 pm Friday when I go to Vegas. Takes maybe 5-20 min. It goes pretty quick.

My worst line was during the NAB convention, and even that went relatively quick. Of course they had extra taxis ready to go, but it was maybe 20 minutes for a huge line.

I have never waited an hour to checkin to a hotel. Even in some rediculously long lines, it has never been an hour.

I tend to arrive on Thursday so could be very different. It is extremely rare for me to have a line at a hotel at 10pm.

Many have mentioned the taxi line is at most a 20-25 minute wait even if it is 100% full. If you see this, you can head over to the limo section and get a sedan if avaialble for ~$40-$50 + tip. Just depends what your time is worth to you.
