    Hi Guys,

Heard quite some nice stories about "The Pub" in the Monte Carlo.
Any experiences? Besides the drinks, what kind of crowd will I find there?
Solo traveller looking for some fun conversation and laid back people.
Other options also welcome. Cheers!

To piggyback on the above post, do they serve Guinness on tap there? Thanks.

They have three kinds of Guinness there, one is on tap and the other two are by bottle.

Its pretty laid back there, and kind of chilled out for the most part (well, in comparison to most other places in Vegas).
I know the question about Guinness was answered, but they have so many other awesome microbrews and such to try.

Pretty good pub grub...good beer selection...decent value.

The bartenders are hit or miss. But it is a good spot for a solo diner/drinker - plenty of TVs, plenty of other folks at the bar to chat with...

It does get ridiculously loud when the dueling pianos are going, though.

Only time I ever checked it out was a Sunday afternoon during football season. Fun place. Not sure how it gets at night

I really like it but doesn't quite feel like you're in Vegas to me. I'd go with nearby Todd English Pub just outside Aria lobby, though it's more expensive.

They do the Dueling Pianos there some nights, at least last time I was in The Pub they did this. That was a lot of fun if you are into that.

The food is good, my wife particularly likes the Sweet Potato Fries with the Marshmallow dipping sauce. I had a great burger.

I recall after we both ate an early dinner here, and had a few drinks, I didn't feel like they bent me over with the bill... very reasonable for Vegas. We make a point to go here when we are passing through the MC.

One of my favorite places to visit while in Vegas. It is really chill and everyone is friendly. All of the food dishes I have tried have been above average for the price and they have a huge beer selection.

Good selection of beers. Yeah, I would describe it as a laid back atmosphere. The food, I would call it good pub food. Service was better when sitting at the bar than at the tables. I think they could use another server or two out on the floor during dinner. Have yet to go there when the dueling pianos are playing but hope to see them in February. Speaking of beers, I tried a Grohl and now it's one of top five favorite beers.

Never got round to going back there when I was in Vegas in October, but I would recommend it, we went there one night and just stayed all night as there was entertainment on and we could get something to eat, and the biggest choice of beer I have ever seen.

If I was a solo, I think the lounges/bars inside the casinos would provide a much better place to hang out. That said, the Pub serves Delirium Tremens, so it automatically moves higher up my list.

The Pub is always the first place I go to when I get to Vegas. I like it because of the chilled atmosphere and the reasonable prices.

The beer selection is good. The food is somewhat less than good unless you drink a lot of beer. They had dueling pianos one night with kind of an oldies theme that was a lot of fun.

The Pub is one of my favorite "afternoon" beer stops. I love a good Amber or IPA beer and they have hundreds to choose from. Normally i'm not a $10 beer guy, but The Pub makes it worth it. Always had great service and the beer has always been fresh. Food is good too, try the burger with an egg.

I haven't read the other comments, only the thread title but my take on the pub is that the beers are good but expensive but the place ain't what it used to be. Prior to the MGM buyout the wings were. the. best. ever. But like all good things, the wings, the steak and stein special, and pretty much everything else that was good about it died. The main thing being that it was actually a brewery. They brewed their own beers which were also available on the casino floor to players.

    This is depressing.

Oh well. At least Main Street Station, Sin City, and Ellis Island all have microbrews that are easy to access....

Went to Main Street last year and ny mate had the sample tray that they do, I had the lager then realised it wasn't the same as what lager is in UK, still was a nice pint
