Yet Platinum seems to have been devalued now. No check in line or resturant line. Very little difference from gold to Platinum now.

From my perspective and how I gamble the new system hurts me and makes it harder to achieve Diamond due to the tier increase requirement. I am one of those "local grinders" who visit the casino 1/2 times a week on average that play mostly poker and dabble in the slot machines and black jack at times. The only thing Diamond seems to get me is perks in Vegas as far as my local casino I don't ever really use the Diamond lounge and they don't offer much else. I get (2) free buffet mailers every month but I've eaten it so many times that I don't even use them half the time now. As long as I continue to get mostly comped rooms at my local casino and Vegas I'm happy. I can always keep my Diamond Card to get perks for cutting in line, they don't know I'm not Diamond anymore :nono:

Diamond cards look different this year. A friend told the cocktail server she had a card but he noticed it was the old one.

I don't think the old card will work at a glance.

Wonder how many people will be Diamond for strong play once every two years. Like this.

Say you are not even Diamond today. You play 2 visits, or maybe a few more depending on your level of play, and make Diamond.

    2013 - check
    2014 - check
    early 2015 - check

Then in early 2015, you do the same thing.
    rest of 2015 - check
    2016 - check
    early 2017 - check

That's sort of what I'm planning but bonus tier will be gone by the end of the year... Unfortunately. IMHO they should have upped it to 5k, 25k 250k... Maybe next year.

sort of considering that myself, do two 2,500 point visits every other year to get the diamond and a solid ADT for rooms.

Where did you see that bonus tier credits will only be for this year? I've not read that.

Sorry for the confusion... Mere speculation that's why I said IMHO.

I just think too many people will hit diamond... But I also buy into the whole argument that its ok due to frequency. Basically it's just my opinion that when cet files for bankruptcy later this year they will get rid of it. All opinion.

I think they are much smarter then us and know just how this will go and this is it until the next redo.

That could easily be the case... They certainly must have crunched the numbers hard. The more scenarios I run the more I realize its probably good for them. I'm definitely non traditional in how I play, in that I can play high and low both in vegas and local.

All in all I personally like the changes a lot and hope they stick! I may be going for diamond III or seven stars if my first two trips go well. First is a month away!

If they were much smarter they wouldn't have gone private at the worst possible time.

Ahhh the good ole days of the easy money fueled private equity bubble. Feels like it was another era.....

But don't worry....the partners at TPG, Apollo, and Blackstone will do fine...their investors and CET customers not so much. :rolleyes2:

For the bonus credits, do all of the points have to be earned at the same property? Or can someone earn 2,500 pts in a day while playing at various CET properties and still the bonus?

How much do you have to play to get 2500 points in a day? $150 average bet on craps for 3 or 4 hours or a lot more than that?

Probably a lot more than that. Someone posted a speculative formula but Caesar's does not/would not divulge that. If I had to guess, using 4 hours at your time horizon I might say $800 avg at craps for 3 or 4 hours. But I really could be so off its not even funny. That is based on my recollection of what someone else posted which i THINK was roughly one point per dollar of avg bet per hour.

Opposite of the total speculation above, you'd need:
    $12,500 coin in on slots
$25,000 coin in on video poker
And that is set in stone, so if you play that you will get the points. Like I said above I had both 1k and 2.5k days since Jan. 1 and they posted 2 days later.

I hope this helps. I can say for certain it would be more than $150 though... They won't go 2,500 for that(because that would basically mean many could get diamond on tables during one longer trip. That just doesn't happen for table players with CET's system. From my observations)

I believe theoretically, the best way to make diamond now would probably be to find a full pay 100-play JOB machine at the lowest denomination you can play where you could earn 2,500 pts in a day.

Should cost $115 to earn 2,500 points, then add the bonus 5,000.

Ideally would cost you $230 to earn the Diamond card, and assume the variance would even out on low denom/high hand count 100-play.

It seems like at some point in the DIAD discussions a spot in northern Nevada had such a machine which people considered ideal for this purpose.

Hell it would only theoretically cost $2,300 to make 7-star on such a venture. That would be fun to try!!! Hmmmm, maybe I've found my summer project.

Of course I would only be able to get "The Quad" comped with that low ADT despite being 7 star.

Laughlin used to have a 50-play at nickels... but it got the axe. You're right, that would have been perfect! 2 hours a day.

I hit a nasty downswing on one of my 1,000 point days but thats what can happen at the $5 level. I'm sure you know all too well! :grrr:

Where does it state the quicker lines (check-in & dining) are disappearing for Platinum? They have never been advertised at all to begin with really - since they are only available in Vegas. But where was it specifically addressed that they are being removed?
