Especially the ones where you pick between two or three choices. Are they predetermined so that whatever you choose you're fated to either lose or win, or is it really based on your own luck at the time? It's something that has always crossed my mind...

I would be able to find solace in knowing that they are indeed predetermined so that I may not beat myself up for making the wrong choices (not that I have) :rolleyes2:

It is predetermined before you click.
There, it does not matter which one you'll click.

If you were talking about slots in the casino the answer would be that it is indeed totally random and that picking a different whatever it was would have resulted in a different reward... but MyVegas is a play money Facebook game and even though they take money (by selling coin packages) they are totally unregulated and can program the games to work however they want and since they don't release their code nobody can answer your question with absolute certainty except them or one of their programmers.

That said, I would expect it to be totally random: since they have millions of players and their games likely have pretty big house edges it would make sense for them to just let the games take their course of action and play out and not worry about individual players and whether they get a hundred extra credits here or there... or if they were going to jimmy the games to do something more like the more chips you have over a million the tighter the games become or something like that, so that the players that do hit that big fluke of luck and amass a mountain of chips can eventually have their chips whittled down through "normal" play.

That would make more sense because if they "cheated" you out of 500 chips thats no big deal... but somebody who got on a super hot streak and was pushing their bets and gets up to something like 100,000,000+ in chips, they're never going to buy chips so long as they have that massive pile of 'em, so it would make more sense to target those players and whittle their chips down.

It is all predetermined. The MyVegas people have admitted this and i'm pretty sure It's specifically stated in their FAQ.

It is predetermined. I entered the Luxor bonus game (the one with the pyramid) as I got to the last level and had 1 pick left to reach the top.. I chose the wrong one. My game froze immediately after .. When I startup the app again.. My bonus game was saved. Luckily I memorized my picks and mimick my same picks except for the last one.. Which I chose the latter.. The ending result was the same. I've experienced this on separate occasions with diff bonuses so yeah
