I am going to Vegas for the Super Bowl with a group and I have been assigned to find a dinner spot. We can always hit a steak place as every casino seems to have a good one. I will accept recommendations in that area, but what I would really like is new or unique restaurant ideas perhaps in the small plate, fusion or ethnic category. We are staying mid strip. Thanks.

Does it need to be on the Strip? If not ... I'd say go to Chada Thai. Easy cab or Uber ride, and tons of great Thai food that's easy for sharing. Awesome wine list, too. It's small, so Lotus of Siam might be better able to support a very large group. Also awesome.

Julian Serrano or Lago spring to mind. Both offer lots of tapas and are very good. I prefer JS between the two

I liked Crush at MGM. The same group has a place at Wynn called La Cave that I have not yet tried.

In terms of 'ethnic', there is Lotus of Siam, which I have liked in the past. Great food, especially the northern Thai section at the back. But off strip a bit of a pain for booking reservations as you can only call (no online), and only during dinner hours (or lunch on weekdays).

La Cave is fantastic as well, but not really center strip (which I think the OP is looking for). Not as impressed by Crush. I mean, its fine. I ate there a week after it opened and it was ok, but nothing that had me clamoring to go back

La Cave is worth the trip to Wynn though!

Give Mesa Grill a look. It's got a nice array of entree options and everything i've ever tried there was exceptional. Located at Caesars near the sportsbook and poker room.
