    My Trip Report

I will be updating this in real-time...
Were heading up tommorow afternoon for a weekend of cars, gambling, and getting our swerve on...
As always, we'll be staying in our suite at JANugget.
This trip, Krista's aunt&uncle want to ride along, so that'll be fun.
P.S- Why can't it be Friday already?!?!

Only a few more hours of work to get through and we be on the way!
I have a bet with Krista that there'll [bold]NOT[/bold] be a $10 crap table at JANugget this weekend; she's got the over.
I say $5 max maybe even a $2 table during Graveyard shift, lol

4pm, just got in my room in the East Tower...
From the valet area, it doesn't look all that crowded, but they say it's sold out tonight (hotel anyway)
Onward and downward to the casino I go...

Great crowd in Reno this year... good weather too... mid-80's, but hope you don't get the late afternoon thunderstorms that came thru the past couple days.

Well, after I got down to the sportsbar and got a few Alaskan Ambers in me, I was feeling pretty good. Threw in a shot of 1800 just because Krista's aunt wanted to shoot some tequila.
So, Krista got here finally got here at 8, and I had gotten resos at Trader Dicks for 8:30; but between 4 and 8 I had quite a few drinks, lol...so I totally forgot what I ate for dinner and apparently we played some dice and ended up down $60 and in bed at 11:30
This morning is an early one...gotta go buffeting for breakfast then on to the show&shines around town...

I just got back from volunteering @ HAN had 4 nites @ Harrah's West Tower and the one @ J Ascaugas's. I've been volunteering there for 4 years even though I don't have a vehicle in it love coming in for the event. You might want to check out the Reno board VisitReno.

    To wrap this up...
Only saw a couple blown cars, no real "street" cars (mostly just trailer queens)
We ended up only going to GSR because the women were tired of walking and hungry
Came back to JAN and grabbed a bite to eat at Gabe's Deli and drank a few beers.
We walked around Victorian Square for a while checking out the cars (and the ladies looked at the craft faire)
Then we went to dinner at JANugget Steakhouse. We all got the $20 EarlyBird 6oz Filet Mignon, which were excellent.
After dinner, we went out to the VIP viewing area for the Nightly Car Cruise...big disappointment there...after just 30 minutes, the same cars were cycling back through, so we decided to go over and watch the Drag Racing...which (to me) was another disappointment (but everyone else enjoyed it; only because they've never actually been to a REAL dragstrip)
There were only about 16 cars "racing" so that meant 8 pairings, and between each "set" they waited freaking 20 minutes!! (8 "races" then wait 20 minutes, eff that!)
So we watched a "set" of all the cars, then went back inside.
By this time it was 9:30 and Kris' Aunt/Uncle are earlybed/risers so they called it a night.
We WERE going to play dice...but the table was just so packed we couldn't get on it...
So Kris decided that she wanted to play PaiGowPoker...but it was a stupid $10 table (only because the progressive is up at $100k) So we bought in with $20 (yes ONE bet each!) and proceeded to play for about 2 hours and run the $20 up to $100!!
So we called it a night
Sunday morning we got up and all had the Brunch Buffet at JAN.
After that Kris' Aunt/Uncle wanted to go to Virginia City and go through The Washoe Club (Haunted) so we drove up there...man, it's funny...On Sunday morning, out at JAN it was a GHOST TOWN (all the cars were gone and all the vendors had broken down and left) but in Virginia City it was PACKED!!
After VC, Kris' Aunt/Uncle went home and we went back to JAN to have dinner and grab our stuff.
All in all, not too bad (only ended up losing $40 each)

Looking forward to this coming weekend (Golf Tourney)
