Since we switched to CET, our host at PH has arranged the past 5-6 trips.

Been happy with the room. FP offers have been declining for some reason. Last trip the host surprised us with $125 FB credit. That was a nice surprise but he usually comps our room and food anyway. Would have preferred the extra $125 toward FP. (Sorry, deviated a bit and will get back on track. )

Recently received a call from a Casino Executive Host from Caesars. (Is a Casino Executive Host higher up than a regular host?)

I have seen a thread or two on this topic but never read them and couldn't find them.

    What should I do?
Stay with my current host who hasn't charged us a dime on any trip (we charge about $250 to the room each trip) and that includes room and limo.

Give the new guy a try?

I don't foresee the new guy being able to do anything dramatically more since comps are based on some formula.
Even if he comped a HUGE suite, I suspect next trip we would get nothing if our play didn't warrant the extra stuff he would give.

If it any broke don't fix it?

I am very surprised to hear this. I have referred a few people to my host and the first thing she does is see if they have another CET host assigned to them. If so, she does not interfere with that relationship. Did you tell the "Executive" host you already had a host?

Do you want to stay at Caesars? Then try the new guy. He may be able to get you a better deal than someone based at another hotel. But if you are headed back to PH, I would stay with the one at PH.

I had a similar experience. We've used our host at Rio for several years and out of the blue started receiving calls and emails from a host at PH. He acknowleded that we had a host but he could help in Vegas and out side Vegas.

Our host was not pleased. Anyway, we still get a voice message from time to time but I don't answer since we really like our host.

Here's our experience. Our executive host books our offers and gets us better rooms at any Caesars props (outside Vegas too according to him). He tells us to deal with the host on duty where we stayed when we check out to take care of back end comps. He gets us great upgrades for rooms vs what we can book ourselves, but not more than that.

If you happy with your host and just want to stay at that prop then work with them. If you want access to any prop use the executive host.

You PH Host can also book you across other properties, as well as get you in contact with host in other locations (Tunica.Biloxi/Reno/Tahoe/etc..) that can help you during your stay.

    Loyalty has value.

Tell your PH Host that someone from Caesars tried to poach you, but you chose to stay with them. That should buy you some brownie points.

Poaching is the word I was going to use too. Our host handles our needs at all CET properties. You could call your current host and see what the new host can do for you that your current host can't. That might be interesting :wink2:

During my superbowl trip I was approached twice by other hosts. Once at aria and once at bellagio. I told them both that I have a host and gave their names after they asked who i was working with.

They both said that they are great hosts but if I would like, i could call them also. I dont think they would give me more than my other hosts by changing. I also wouldnt want to piss off my current host by going to another host if they have been taking care of me.

Every single host anywhere in the country can book you into another hotel. If the CP host was representing that he could do that and the PH guy couldn't he was being dishonest. The rank of host does matter as to the quality of deal they can get you elsewhere but I don't think he's saying anything worth burning bridges over.
