Hi All. I currently have a host I use at the MGM Grand. My family and I are thinking about trying out a different casino outside of MGM Properties. I usually get 3 nights free with freeplay. My question is do/should I stay at the property I'm interested in and gamble, then talk to a host if play is enough? I have heard of people contacting hosts before staying, but I don't think that works? Thanks in advance.

Contacting hosts at other properties certainly works. The market is very competitive and they will do whatever they can to snatch you from their competition.

It usually works like this: you contact host a property X and provide some personal info, they verify your play at property Y and depending on what they find out come back to you with what they can offer.
