Gerry, I last stayed there about five years ago, so my information may be dated. but back then, the room was fine. It was clean. The bed was not comfortable. It was about what you would expect from a cheap hotel. The common areas, such as hallways, however, were disgusting. They were filthy and smelled awful. So try and get a room close to the elevator, I guess. Finally, I cannot tell if you are being sarcastic about the pool, but the hooters pool is absolutely nothing special

Stayed two nights last year, and have stayed before. Ask for a high floor far from the elevator, and if your room doesn't look clean, call the desk and ask for another. Say it's dirty. As always, pull all the sheets from the bed and check the corners for bugs(Just in case- I do this everywhere I stay)

My girlfriend said the rooms are nice, and she hates everything. So it must mean something
