My Trip Report

...time to go to Vegas!

We recently sold our home, I quit my job and, well. I did forget the deodorant. We had a great trip - Aria & the Cosmo, a small handpay and a bunch of 4OAK - even one with a kicker!

First the gaming:

Day 1:
A few days earlier a friend declared Top Dollar was the Devil as it took all his money in an earlier trip so I was directed to exact revenge on the machine. Top Dollar is not he devil it is a heroin dealer - "here have a little it's on the house" and then bam it's got you.
After hitting a couple of nice small Top Dollars I realized I should at least snap chat the evidence:

And then this one:

Ended the day up a grand.

Day 2:

Lots of video poker at Bellagio. I was playing double double & hubby was playing JOB. Put in a hundy and hit a bunch of 3OAK & Full house then this:

Followed shortly by this:

And then this:

And almost immediately this one:

And then this beauty:

Hubby began to get frustrated as his 4OAK results on JOB but he was still up:

we decided to take our winning to the slots - or I should say I decided & he came along. Naturally this is his third pull:

Funny thing is the machine never went off - no big "handpay" announcement on the screen, no bells. Both of us were looking at his screen & saying - that really ought to be some kind of a winner, then noticed the light was on on the top of the machine.

So now we are really up ...yeah we should quit, but what sort of degenerates would we be, plus I still don't have any deodorant so maybe this is the key to good luck.

Day 3:

I started my conference & hubby played blackjack - he liked the $25 2 deck 3:2 table at NYNY. I joined him at NYNY and got stupid. If things are going so well why not press my luck in the HL room? Ya know $50 a pull goes pretty quickly and especially if you never get anything back. I eventually started my el-cheap-o strategy and looked for a Quick Hit that seemed "ripe"... those lower jackpots will only go up so high & when one is pretty high for it's level - it's time to play:

I finally gave into the Buffalo's -

Which then proceeded to eat back my money.... but those pictures aren't as fun.
End up on day 3 still up but not as much

Day 4 is very ugly and no pictures or evidence was saved.

Day 5 I have convinced hubby the best way to stop the bleeding is to play DDB VP Here is his first stint, seriously:

We went on to lose at slots, BJ, and seemed to be able to pull 4 to a royal a lot but never close the deal.

Day 6 on the last morning got this in the "I have an hour to waste" time:

I cannot even count the number of 3OAK Aces I drew but those never turned into 4 :-(

We stayed at Aria on a comp with some resort credit & ate well - both of us liked Jean Georges & the crepes at the pastry place. I didn't take pictures of food or anything else. We used a few MyVegas coupons for the freeplay & went to tournament of the kings which was actually kind of fun. We ended up playing more at Bellagio & NYNY than Aria because frankly the mood was soured by the bartender charging us for drinks at VP when we were both playing $5 a hand and really playing. Also the BJ tables under $100 a hand were all 6:5. The bartenders at Bellagio VP were great - I felt myself wishing we had taken the Bellagio offer instead of the Aria one. Once we were at Cosmo that is the only place we played. the BJ dealers were great & so were the VP bartenders. I played a bit in the new slot HL room there & it was nice but stingy.

Hope y'all enjoyed the pics. Good luck!

Another added plus of not using deodorant you may have an entire row of slots to yourself. Not sure how the cocktail service would be.

You can safely avoid cancer with deodorant use. It's the active ingredient deodorant/ anti perspirant that has you spun up.

Wow some great hits here!!!!

Pulling that 3 of diamonds and Ace of hearts looks familiar. Exactly what I did to make my last quad. Haha

What casino bar was that hit at btw if you remember? If you stuck mostly to mlife and Cosmo, you should haven't had to play 7/5 DDB. Wondering if I need to alter the bartop sticky. :(

I'm assuming the dollar VP hits were at the baccarat bar at bellagio?

And being charged at Aria is bullshit. I've been accidentally charged a few times when first sitting down. I always say "I'm playing" and they've taken care of it. So if that happens again, I'd speak up. Of course Aria also has that stingy, drink every 30 minutes rule too which at least Tyrone always seems to follow.

Great trip and nice report!

Thanks it was a fun trip

That was at MGM, seemed prudent to do quarters while he was making the transition from JOB.
I wish I could remember the name of the Bar at Bellagio - there were tables behind us, it's smallish - I want to say 8 or 10 chairs on the one side. We also had a great bartender there - Mark. He noticed we were playing & said that we might want to know "those machines hit earlier today" & gestured to the two open chairs next to us so we moved. We tipped well after each 4OAK; I told him he is the best real estate agent - lolz.

Yeah the Aria thing kind of put us off on the property, we were both already playing when the bartender came up - he saw were both had in a hundred and were at $1 max bet ($5 per draw), he loudly announced the bill when he put in front of us - like "you are being charged". I can't even drink one drink in a hour so the 30 minute rule wouldn't be a problem. A guy sat next to me to play and had a negotiation with the bartender to get his drinks comped - the bartender had to take the guy's player card to someone else to approve the Tito's the guy ordered. Tito's seriously?

I looked at the bartop sticky and I was mistaken on MGM, I didn't have DDB listed at the casino bar, which means it was 7/5 DDB (95.71%) to begin with. Bit surprising since JoB is 8/5 (97.3%) at the main bar. Glad to see there wasn't a downgrade though. If you are able to grab a seat, Whiskey Down at MGM is 9/5 (97.87%) for quarters+.

And I would have told that bartender at Aria "no thank you", get up, leave, and make him waste the booze if he already poured it. Forcing dollar players to pay...that's laughable, short-sighted, and pathetic.
