    I sure hope there is hope.....I have just hated seeing so many of the old grand dames of the strip get closed. Don't get me wrong, I like the way Vegas is now, but I just hope they can keep some of the historic places open on the Strip. The worst was when they closed the Sands, but it was a very small casino and hotel, but so much nostalgia there and a lot of the other places that can never be replicated. Hope the Trop makes it.

    Interesting. The Tropicana was in the Ramada group back in the 80's as I recall. It was a really nice property back then.

    I like the Trop's chances with the recent renovations and now Hilton on board. Good luck to them!

    Yeah, I always loved the stained glass ceiling. One of the Crown Jewels of days gone by.
