Inspired by a discussion of BLT in the mirage, was wondering about surprisingly good dishes found on menus that aren't the go to. I expect any steak place to have a great steak, but what else is good on the menu that you might not think to order. A couple in my experience; BLT: the chili. It's considered a starter but plenty for a lunch or late night bite Carnevino: the lamb chops. Simply The best lamb I've ever had Heritage: Tabasco skirt steak. A bit of a cheat, since it is a steak at a steakhouse, but this has become my go to. Some spice, but not overwhelming, and a great flavorful steak. I'm normally a plain steak guy, no sauces or marinades, but this is a worthy exception. What has everyone else found? As you can see I tend to stick to one part of the strip but want to start branching out.
