    Hi guys n gals
    Im Ian my wife is Wendy,we are going to vegas in August to celebrate Wendys 40th birthday. We have never been before so we will be on here quite a lot in the coming weeks for tips and advice from all the experienced Vegas visitors...

    I'm going to assume (maybe wrongly) that you haven't been to the western US before. I'd recommend not drinking much on your first day of arrival and take it easy. The jet lag can be pretty bad even going that direction (it's worse going back) and you're setting yourself up for spending the first few days feeling ropey if you hammer it on arrival. Drink a LOT of water as well, it's dry like you can't imagine coming from the UK. Have a great time.

    Word. Even "should I jump off this cliff" isn't a stupid question if you are being chased by people that want to torture you.
