Hi everybody. New to the boards. Been reading up for the past few weeks and posting first time today. Heading to Vegas tomorrow and really excited about the trip.

Started going to Vegas in '03 for 2 bachelor parties but didn't think the place was anything special. Then started going again about 4 years ago really started loving Vegas and now usually end up going 2-5 times a year.

First time staying was at the new Alladin (pre-PH) and Flamingo for the group outings. Then started staying at Luxor the about 4 years ago. Upgraded to THEhotel and Mandalay Bay about 3 years ago. (Used to stay South Strip a lot, but now it seems pretty far out of the way.)

Lately, it's been mostly center strip. PH and PHTowers (pre-Elara). Stayed also at MGM Grand and Vdara. (Palazzo once too on the north end, but that too seems far). Favorite was probably PHTowers for the value, relatively lower prices for nicer suites and very strip accessible. This trip, staying at Four Seasons, Cosmo Wraparound Terrace Suite, then Encore. My friends and I usually enjoy spending time at the nice multi-room suites we get together in addition to spending time in the casinos and up and down the strip. (Been downtown a few times myself and like it there but currently prefer the Strip.)

Not a big gambler but learning to play basic strategy blackjack. More into the great dining options from Alize and L'Atelier to Serendipity3 and Wicked Spoon. (Although, we're very casual and don't really like the fancy stuff other than to eat there a few times.) Also, love going to shows. Seen most of the Cirque shows. Ka is my favorite - saw it 3 times already. The three dimensional aspect of it is amazing, as well as the moving 3 dimensional stages.

Anyway, thought I'd introduce myself and say hi.

Mac - just found out the best local band in the Kentuckiana area is playing this week at Bill's. They play a lot of pop & old R&R...just a great bunch of musicians and put on a great show. If you are in that area...check them out...I think they play from 10pm-3am. They are "The Crashers"
They pack 'em in and sell out everywhere they go in our 3 state area. :)

Thanks everybody. Live in Lakeview but prefer to fly out of Mitchell. A lot less hassle than midway and O'Hare and worth the drive usually since its pretty low stress at the airport. Security lines are usually super quick even during the busy season. I work halfway between chi and mke so I'm used to the drive.

Will try t check out that band, sybgal. Thanks!
