Hey everyone! Booked my flight to vegas for next month and I'm staying at the Golden Nugget. I went to vegas for my first time last August and stayed at the GN last time too. Gonna try the $20 trick this time :nworthy:

Im a broke college kid whos into cheap table games, so the downtown area is perfect for me, not to mention all the free drinks haha. When I was there last time we didn't even leave the DT area, pretty much just gambled all day and checked out the pools and Fremont night life. This time I plan on checking out the strip.

My favorite game is craps, but I like to bet the dark side haha so im not always everyone's favorite (I make sure not to celebrate when everyone else loses). Last time I always lost playing at the GN, but won at Binions, Club Vegas, and 4 Queens. Only ended up being down $75 from gambling so not much. This time im bringing the girl with so might have to change sides, shes never played before :licklips:

Holy cow you could be my son (but he's only 19). Or me. I was also a broke college kid from Wisconsin who loved craps when I first went to Vegas. I stayed at the Holiday Inn (now Harrahs) on the strip the first time.

Welcome and have a great trip.

Welcome fellow Wisconsinite. I'm new around here too.

Nothing wrong with being a broke college gambler. I used to play a ton of low limit poker to help supplement college income.

    Welcome fellow Cheesehead!

The best gambling is downtown, but bringing a Vegas virgin, you must visit the Strip. Not necessarily to gamble, but to sight see. Plenty to see for free.

Oh I definitely plan on it, she is my secret weapon. I wanna walk up to the coldest table and be like "Your prayers have been answered" hahaha

Shes a CASINO virgin female dice thrower, who is also a model...... Im a pretty lucky guy ahaha

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone else! Are there any must do activities on the strip besides the obvious tourist ones? i.e. Bellagio fountains, play the lions share at mgm, etc... My parents go every year but their interest are different so I need some of your guy's advice. What about cheap clubs?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello, fellow Wisconsinite!

Good luck on your Vegas trip!!!!
The first time there is always so much to see.....
don't forget to take time out to decompress from all the sights and sounds for a few hours. Maybe take a few hours for a pool siesta and recharge. If you book a massage towards the end of the trip your model gal-pal will probably be *very* appreciative!:wink2::ssst:

I think it's all relative to your length of stay.
The strip has changed quite a bit since I last visited.
The others here are rich in present knowledge.
Post in the appropriate forum for more direct/quicker responses.

Ya, model, virgin dice shooter eh?...hmmmm:drooling:,
So, when is your trip and what casinos will she be throwing in?

My wife is a model too!
However, she looks more like Hulk Hogan.
She comes crawling to me every night!
When she gets close, she says
"Come out from under that bed and fight like a man!"
    :rolleyes2:

:beer:Toast: What area of WI r u from?
    Go to any Pack games?

Tell the Mrs. to come on the board also.
I just love the GN & the DT in general. Growing up in Chicago, the street traffic is a non-issue. We have not been there since the pool was getting renovated.

    Hey Wisconsin,
Your female friend will love it as much as you. Just be aware the two things I haven't found in Vegas are Meat Raffles (LOL) and a good Old Fashion. If you try an Old Fashion remember you have to request Brandy out this way.
Have fun hope you both have Lady Luck shine on you.

Hello CheeseHeads! The Bloody's are good--especially when you can name your vodka and it's free when you are playing.
Well....it's a DRY heat....but it's still HOT! Have fun and Good Luck!!!

    Thanks again everyone!

We're going May 18th-22nd, probably gambling somewhere DT.

I'm actually from Green Bay, and I've been to a few games, but im not a packer fan (Complete sin, I know) haha. Not really into any professional sports at all.

I hope slotzilla is done by the time we get there!

Also, The white russians are pretty good in vegas, but they seem to have the WORST whiskey sours I've ever had, 4 queens in particular.
