I am a slot slut and get lots of decent offers from CET. Not so much in Vegas, but lots of FP.

My email lately from CET is full of offers to return to Vegas. I could count on one hand how many are worth more than $100 - in fact most are less than $50. It would be awesome if we could set a dollar limit and eliminate all this crap. I am not about to plan a Vegas trip for $100 of FP or Giftcard. Even if I am there, $100 is hardly worth the time since it is 10 minutes at the TR desk and then off the cage and then hope the machines will take them. And those machines that do take them are apparently programmed to suck the living shit out of the player. LOL!

Heck, even Tunica where I can easily drop hundred$$ has resorted to sending me $10 freeplay vouchers, good on the 2nd Tuesday of the 3rd week.

    Really?

I hear you on this. I live in DC, and the only ones that are *kinda* worthwhile to me are the $40 in Baltimore, because I have friends who live there and it's only a $6 train ride away. So I go, use up my paltry free play, try a few other games to earn some tier credits, and walk away. But there's no way I would ever put in any serious travel just for a few spins on a slot machine.

On the TR website you used to be able to delete these junk offers. Not any more. My inbox for Vegas casinos would like like this:
    $450 in Free play or
$200 southwest gift card + $200 in casino play or
    ipad Mini or
    $40 dining credit or
    $20 Free Play
Each stay would require one of those codes and ONLY one of those codes. Why would I turn down $500 worth of stuff for a $40 dining credit? Or $20 in free play. Be a little mor selective CET!

Fixing the offers would be awesome. I almost feel insulted sometimes, haha, insulted by free stuff but I am!

My adjustment would be to get on board with giving free play offers like they do at Horseshoe Baltimore and now Philly. Have it loaded and let me take it from my bank. Coupons, pins, going to the cashier, all just nonsense to make me say "Forget it! Too much trouble!".

When I have 30 different offers I have to call and ask which offer has the better room , better seats for a show etc. sometimes the offers are for a comp small room on a weekday, but a suite over holiday weekends. I recently received a free flight offer and one where it cost $299, when they typed it in it kept coming up with the one that cost money. I think sometimes a good offer gets overridden by the massive junk they send. I am just about finished with CET I have had several good trips but I was treated very badly on my last visit to Vegas and am really worried that I may have another bad visit if I go back like I scheduled to.

Here is an outtake from one of my trips reports on activating free play with CET

You have to key in the free play when you check in so its active in their system. My offer made me stay here for 2 days in order to collect the $450 and 2 Ferris Wheel passes. Once they key it in you have to go to the rewards desk to sign a form. Once said form is signed you have to go to the cage to get your gambling vouchers and sign another form saying you picked it up. Once you get that you are all set to go. So simple and easy! All lines total its about a 40 minute process before I can get on a machine. Most places they just log it on your card and off you go.

I have also had a process for table gaming vouchers where I go to the cage and they call a host to come and give me the vouchers and sign for them.

Hey, lately I've been getting $4 FP a week, if at all, at the local Horseshoe!

Five must be just too much for their new shoestring budget. Ameristar will offer $3 as a minimum offer. I've got that before...:rolleyes2:

I would like to send some of those crappy offers back to them. But, nobody there would ever get it (physically or mentally).

I would like to thank CET for bringing me laughter and disgust. They are screwing everyone.

I haven't gotten anything from Ameristar for some time now.

I figure it's market conditions. Both of the places are busy everytime I'm there. They don't have to bribe people to come in at the present time.

They are the top grossing "boat" in Missouri (the St. Charles location) and they hardly ever run promos. But they and river city apparently are giving away a Mercedes this month.

They grossed $21.3M in November, a $4M lead over the next highest boat, sister property, River City.
