    First visit to LV.

Staying at the MGM in July, just wondering if the CET Buffet o Buffet is something i should get. What and how do you get the Total Rewards Card that gives a $5 off the price? Also, won't be renting a car and want to see places like Caesars, Circus Circus etc, so wondering about getting to the places where the Buffet Pass is allowed and if this is too restrictive to a first timer in LV who is trying to get a lot of sight seeing done in one day. Any help is much appreciated.

To get the Total Rewards card: when you get to one of their casinos just go to the Total Rewards booth (follow the overhead signs in the casino) and signup for the card.

Most of the CET casinos are pretty close to eachother, so its not a big to go from casino to casino to try out different buffets for different meals.

If you are at MGM Grand you can take the monorail (there will be signs telling you where the monorail is) to one of the CET properties, you can walk, you can take a taxi (about $10, roughly the same price as the monorail) or you can take the bus.

Monorail and taxi would be the best choices since its a bit of a walk and sometimes the bus can be a little slow.

Meanwhile, if staying at MGM you can work your way up the strip, and eat at PH, and Paris and Flamingo and Harrahs and Caesarsa and the QUAD. Lots of options to eat and stuff yourself. Makes for lots of walking and sight-seeing. We have seen some of the MGM properties do a buffet special as well.

Get your TR card at any Caesar's property. The closest to the MGM Grand is Planet Hollywood. From the strip, go in Miracle Mile Shops and hang a left into the casino. Get it at the desk (I just got mine there a month ago).

For travel, you can walk to PH and get to the other spots by walking or use the Deuce bus (the double decker). A 3-day pass is $20 and it runs 24 hours a day.

Try to use the north entrance/exits from MGM. If you walk out the front door, your walk will be longer.
