This summer my family is planning our yearly reunion trip to Vegas. Well need two rooms that have 2 beds in each one. We like staying at CET properties and have narrowed down our choices to three hotels.

    !) Caesar's - Roman tower
    2) Flamingo
    3) Harrah's

Background information: It will be myself and two sisters (ages are late 50's thru early 60's) and our mom whose is 86 years young. We all have been to Vegas a number of times (since 1975), so it is not a new experience for anyone in our group. We are planning on renting a car while we are there, so we can visit other casinos, restaurants, attractions within the city. Also, our family is more into substance than style; the most important things we want in a room in Vegas are: the room is clean, the plumbing works, and the AC/heater works. We'll basically be using our rooms to sleep, shower, change clothes and rest a little bit.

My question is: if you had to pick which hotel to stay at; which one would you choose and how would you compare the rooms?

My personal preference would be Caesar's, because of using a rental car. It seems to me it would be a lot easier to get away to different parts of the city at that hotel, than from Flamingo or Harrah's (i.e. we should be able to leave Caesar's from Industrial and head down to Sahara; avoiding driving on the Strip). Staying at Flamingo or Harrah's, we'd have to deal with the traffic on the Strip, Flamingo or the Ling project.

I would think Paris would also be a good choice. But, guessing after 50 trips, you have a better idea which works for you.

Of your list, I would go with Harrah's, but reluctantly due to the room size. I love CP but wouldn't stay there unless I had at least a forum room. The idea of Flamingo leaves me cold. Personally, I haven't had issue on Flamingo Rd. When I am staying at Bally's or CP, I use Flamingo to access the necessary back roads and can do so quickly.

Can I ask why Bally's and Rio were ruled out? They have larger rooms that would be comfortable. We had connecting rooms at Rio once and when we opened the door it was like having a suite. Plus you can exit Rio and hop almost directly on Dean Martin which is pretty sweet.

of those 3 I would choose caesars it is almost a sure bet you can $20 tip your way to forum tower or better unless it is extremely busy. I have booked roman tower rooms 5-6 times and have never had to stay in one usually get palace tower with a $20 tip at check in.

For me I will never stay at harrahs again stayed there 2 years ago for super bowl weekend and the drain for the shower had issues forcing sewer gasses up into the room whenever you would turn the shower on and they were full so could not move us it was the worst hotel experience of my life I would stay at hooters, Quad, even Ellis Island before I would stay at harrahs again. I know some people like it but for me I wont stay or gamble there ever again.

Flamingo is just not a place I like I am not a pool guy and unless your in go rooms then caesars is nicer in every way and if you move to forum tower or better then it exceeds the go rooms but I have no issues with flamingo in general its just not for me.

Find the parking rather funny. We have stayed at Harrahs and Flamingo with a car and it is super easy, just use Koval for everything. Connecting at Sands, Flamingo (try not to lol) or Tropicana. Caesars parking is such a hike and I hate Frank Sinatra. You pretty much know the score...Flamingo get a GO room, Harrahs standard rooms are nothing to write home about but better than a Flamingo Deluxe, either may be better than a Roman Tower at Caesars. Those Roman Tower rooms will be on the chopping block next time they want to upgrade anything at Caesars.
