    Ok here goes

I haven't been to Vegas since may 2011. I'm looking to go have a blast fory birthday from Jan 11-15. I have a southwest flight credit that needs used so really room hunting a bit. I no longer have room comp offers coming in after such a long layoff. I have been playing myvegas for a couple years hoping to use these rewards some day and that day is coming.

Please help me figure out the most amazing bang for my buck/point

Rooms: how to use them best I like nice places last two stays at aria but obv that is no longer an option for points.

Food: let's mix that in if possible

Shows: really don't care for this

Here are my thoughts just trying to figure it out on my own with zero experience.

I don't mind casino hoping and seeing new things so I was thinking about spending 1 or 2 nights at red rock and then 2 nights on strip. By looking at the rules it looks like I can use to rewards at red rock per day???? So book 2 nights there with free buffets? Then what are my best two strip nights? That would give me 1 more reward to use Mlife wise so how much is left where do I spend it best

I reach out to the great folks of this board as a loyal member to help a dude out.

Come out of the woodwork my Vegas experts and let's do this right!!

Call the Mlife desk at aria and see if they can set u up with a myvegas host. you might be able to use your LP for comps that are not listed. hope this helps.

I'm not a Vegas expert by any means, but I'll offer my two cents -

I used approx. 250k LPs on my trip in August for the following three rewards:

    - 2 Midweek Bonus nights at Mandalay Bay (67,500 each)
    - 2 Dinner Buffets at Mirage (112k I think?)

Not sure how important strip location is to you but I really liked the rooms at MB and thought the Midweek bonus nights were a very good value. If I were in your shoes, though, I'd take a look at what room rates you can get through some of those discount sites. If room rates are low enough that LPs wouldn't carry much "bang for your buck", then I would pay for rooms and use LPs for Freeplay, a high-level buffet or two, the Aria Slot tourney (doesn't count against your reward limit), maybe bottle service as well (not sure if the stay requirement is a night at Aria specifically or any MGM property).

I dont know if you are married or single or going with friends? How old you are? But they have the vip bottle service and table at the two different lounges at the Aria for 250K LP. You need a night stay at MGM property to use it. That would be something interesting to do. I think I am going to try that next time I go. If you are going with friends make them pay the tip cause you are getting the table and booze. Just sit back like a Boss and relax sip on some drinks. Just a suggestion. There were a couple threads on the bottle service at the Aria lounges that gave the layout and vibe on them. Most people never do this in their life would be a fun experience. Just don't run into Jay Cutler at the Bank like I did years ago when he was with Denver. That man knows how to kill a good buzz! That is another story altogether.

You probably can set up a "special deal" but it won't be cheap.

My "myVegas host" told me that a one night weekday stay at Mirage during a blackout period could be done for about 300k LPs.

Aria and Bellagio have taken themselves off the myVegas comp list and it's unclear at this time whether the is permanent or not.

What it really boils down to is how much money you care about coming out of pocket.

260,000 points for two Bellagio buffets (provided that you are staying at an mLife property), but only 26,000 points for a BOGO with no stay requirement.

Also, it depends on what days of the week you're going to be in LV.

I had created a chart which showed which buffets had blackout dates and which did not.

Aria (dinner), Bellagio, and Monte Carlo are Monday-Thursday

Aria (lunch) Mandalay Bay is M-F. (Thanks to willywilkes for catching that)

All the others are Sunday through Saturday

If you are not staying at an mLife property, BOGOs are probably your best bet. BOGOs are subject to the same restrictions.

I assume those are dinner buffet dates? I bought Aria 2 lunch buffet since it says good on Fridays (M-F), hope that is accurate!

Hmmmmmmm . . . I went back through and those are the only two meals at Aria that are M-F. The BOGO lunch is M-H, but the one and two lunch options are M-F. Don't be surprised that they give you a "ration" about that but it is clearly stated.

    Thanks for catching that.

    How does this sound ?

Stay at Mandalay bay 1/11/14 and 1/12/14 for 67500 a night from my Vegas for free total 135000

Aria daily riches slit tourney for 100000

VIP bottle service at aria Duece lounge 250000

Stay at red rock 1/13/15 from my Vegas for 150000

Stay at GVR 1/14/15 for 150000

2 GVR breakfast lunch buffets 30000

2 red rock feast buffets for 27000

Should I just do two nights at RR? You can use two rewards there each day

Can I use back to back midweek comp bonus nights at MB?

Lacking a few points for this but debating 1 night restock one night downtown.

    Thoughts?

The Aria slot tourney actually looks like it expires on 12/29. So maybe that will free up the points that you're short on with your current plan.

I'd just do the two nights at Red Rock. All those check-in/out hassles add up.
