Looks like you've got everything including the kitchen sink.

    BTW, what's Between the Sheets?

    lol @ Nevyn.

I'd say to find a real Margarita and a real Mai Tai. The first likely is easier, since you just need to call a good blanco tequila, fresh lime, simple syrup and a bit of GM or Cointreau, rocks.

It was because I had never had it before. I didn't want to clutter the list with beers.

    I don't even know. Something that I found on-line.

Caipirinha pronouced Kap-er-rin-ya or kap-er-rain-ya. At least that's how some folks from Peru taught us to pronounce it. They're pretty good if you like limes.

Hard to find in Vegas. They might make it with rum but it requires the proper cachaça for best taste and authenticity.

If you want a proper old school cocktail, go to Cosmo. They make their own shrubs and do a proper muddle.

My memory is fuzzy but I think that Gustav's bar at Paris makes a nice mojito.

I also like the various types of premade frozen drinks that are served at many Vegas places. Mudslide being my favorite. But only if it's from the Slurpee machine. There is a place on the Linq called Purple Zebra that has about a dozen flavors you can try before you decide. O'Shea's also has a nice Baily's frozen drink.

The bar at the Eiffel Tower restaurant makes an excellent chocolate martini. It's very nice up there during the day and even nicer at night. Men must wear long pants.

    Midori Sour
Light, sweet, sour, and refreshing. Can't taste the alcohol as there isn't a lot.

    Adios MF
Tons of alcohol, similar to a long island iced tea. Usually made to look blue or purple, and is pretty sweet. I know they make them in most of California, I don't know for sure if they're popular in Las Vegas.

Ocean water shot: 2 parts berry vodka, 1 part each of blue curacao, apple Puckers and sweet and sour, shake and strain, top with splash of Sprite. Tastes like Ocean Water from Sonic.

This is the fruity shot for a guy that doesn't normally like fruity shots. I'm sure it's been done exactly or similarly elsewhere, but a bartender at my regular place claims to have invented this. Staff and patrons have spread it around though, I taught the lady bartender at Boar's Head to make one at the 2014 Easter meet up and it was well received. I've also since taught one of the bartenders at my regular strip club to make it (one of the managers there patrons my normal bar) and it has taken over the shot girl's tray. Guess people are getting sick of Fireball (I know I always was).

I second the drinks at Cosmo, very cool blend of old and new school cocktail thought. My favorite was Smokey the Bear.

Also second the Caipirinha, it's basically a mojito without mint that's made with guaro/cachaca instead of light rum.

I commend you on wanting to try new things!

Dark 'n' Stormy - Ginger Beer with Goeslings Dark Rum
Black Russian - Vodka and Kahlua (I'm gonna make my own coffee liqueur)
Greyhound - Vodka with Grapefruit Juice, or Salty Dog, just salt the rim
Stinger - Brandy and White Creme de Menthe on the rocks, preferably crushed, a great digestive
Godfather - Scotch and Amaretto on the rocks, no, don't use Single Barrel, J&B is just fine
Laterno - Courviossier and Grand Mariner in a brandy snifter
Clifton - Courviossier and Tia Maria (or Kahlua) in a snifter

    Enjoy!

PS, would love to know how many you cross off on your trip!

My original drink list is from last year...we were able to get them all crossed off.

We started by asking the waitress for particular drinks and then found out that it worked better just have them the list and have them take it to the bar and get the bartender to make something on the list that he could.

I plan on working my way through all the new suggestions before going to my other list (the one that I provided).

Once all message board's suggestions have been had, I'll then pull out last year's list.

We also put a star beside drinks that we really liked so that we could order them again.

Caribou Lou - Bacardi 151, Pineapple Juice and Malibu. It's one of my favorites. I wonder if it gets comped at the casinos? I've actually never tried. When I get asked what I want, I usually freeze up, get stuck and just ask for a whiskey and Coke. I'll remember to ask next time.

If you can find Deep Eddy's Grapefruit Vodka and Deep Eddy's Lemon Vodka - either one with Pomegranate Juice is very good - would probably be good with Cranberry Juice too.

    Gin and Tonic
Side Car---2 parts cognac, 1 part cointreau, 1/2 oz of lemon juice....some people like it in a martini glass with a sugar coated rim
Rob Roy---1 1/2 ounce scotch, 1/4 oz sweet vermouth, angostura bitters and a cherry...I like mine "up" with a twist of lemon instead of the cherry
French 75---1 ounce gin or cognac, 1/2 ounce cointreau, 1/2 ounce lemon juice, champagne
    Harvey Wallbanger---Vodka, galliano, orange juice
Death in the Afternoon---Absinthe and champagne served in a champagne flute--have a couple of these and they will find you out wandering around talking to yourself.
    Mojito
    Rusty Nail
    Greyhound
    Corpse reviver---various recipes

    Cheers!
