Some how my reservation got lost at Ballys...I might have booked it in july instead of September.

So I have to book another hotel. I was planning on comps but they are gone now. I am going to stay at the El Cortez for two nights with a b1g1 coupon. I want the rest of the trip to be on the strip if possible.

I have only stayed at harras properties...The cheapes is coming up Circus Circus and the strat...

Are these motel 6 quality or are they ok? I prefer Ballys or Rio or Flamingo. PH was ok, but too many young twenties..

Oh, I forgot to mention that my week is the week of the Iheart music festival so prices are really high.

What prices are they offering at CET when you log in?

I usually get comped week days and pay about 100 a night on weekends. But it is showing like 70 a night or more and 200 on weekends.

I read elsewhere on this board that Circus Circus has gone through a remodel and the rooms are quite tolerable. But still avoid the buffet.

EDIT - I found this link, but couldn't find it on a search of this board. But I know that I read somewhere that the new CC rooms are well worth the money. But still avoid the buffet.

I'm going off on a side note here, but take a look at the rooms on the website for the Super8 at Ellis Island (on Koval). They run about $310 to $480 for a full 5 night stay between 9/20-9/25. See how that compares to CC or the Strat. You would be home turf near the CET properties, as it is one block behind Ballys. So you could avoid taxis & crowds for easy access to where you want to play. They have redone a lot of their rooms - not sure if all. They have free WiFi & some rooms have coffee makers.

Did you not save the e-mail confirmation with the reservation number on it? They send out one right after you book. You definitely need to make sure that your reservation is not still in place somewhere. If you did book for July you should have already paid for any cost nights or a no-show fee for the first night on your credit card. If you don't have any fees charged, then your ressie is probably out there for September somewhere. If you did book it online it should also show in the My TR section online.

Do you have ANY offers for the September time frame that say 'Free or Reduced Nights' or 'Special Rates in Vegas'??? If so, make sure you plug those in & try them.

You didn't mention IP - most of the rooms are not that bad - what type of rate do they give you there? You can also try & call Caesars directly & see if you can get a better price. (You may have already done that?). You have to fight construction a bit to get to strip but

I wouldn't be quite as adamant about verifying that your ressie doesn't exist, except it happened to me. We had a hotel booked for a car show. I called to cancel it because we were able to get into the one where our friends were. The hotel kept insisting I didn't have a ressie & there was nothing to cancel. Low & behold I got home from the show & on our credit card there was a charge from the hotel I tried to cancel with - I called them & they insisted I never cancelled. I told them that they told me I didn't have one & I tried - they kept saying they would never have said that. I finally had to dispute with my CC company.

The weird thing is I never got an email, but I thought no biggie its under MY TR. No today is the 30th and I never got charged either. This happened to me for my PH reservation, but that one I got an email but it disappeared under MY TR and I called them about it but I had the confirmation number so they could pull it up.

I have a car for the trip so taxis n such r not the issue. I can get the Gold Coast for a premium for 226 for four nights...but its not strip.

always ask for a confirmation #. Even when you cancel a ressie they SHOULD send you a confirmation # or an email of some kind. Cancelling via email leaves a paper trail for proof.
People sometimes make mistakes...and in the case of the hotel charging for a non-existant reservation, THAT hotel worker is missin' something!

Circus Circus has been remodeled. Ive stayed at the west towers which are awesome.

ive also stayed at the lower end rooms. Cant remember which rooms it was but the ones where the elevators are in the back . Good rooms, decent. if you get that room make sure to park on the back lot as opposed to the first set of lots. Much easier to go in and out of your room.
