Hello everyone. 30 year old from Montana here and have been to Vegas 4 times now over the past 3 years with my 5th trip coming up in 2 1/2 weeks for the first weekend of the NFL season.

I'm a big football fan so I've planned all my trips in the fall/winter so I can get bets down at sportsbooks but this will be my first time going down for opening weekend of the NFL season...excited to get some season long prop bets down.

I found VMB through the 2+2 forums which I've been a long time member of...used to play a lot of online poker pre Black Friday.

We have live poker in Montana with an $800 dollar cap on the pot limit, which isn't bad...just never been one for cash game poker and was a fan of online tournaments because of the small buy ins but large prize pools due to the size of the fields. I've played a couple live tournaments down in Vegas, but no results to mention.

Anyway, big fan of reading trip reports to help pass the time in between my own trips...so that's where I'll be on here most of the time. Have a good one.

When did they finally up the limit to $800? It was $300 back when I lived there. When the games had to stop at 2am, the last hour or so of the $10/20 games in Billings when it was 10 handed everyone basically put in $30 each and see who won at the end.

Where in Montana? My mother was born and raised in Havre, I visited many times when my grandparents were still around.

They changed the capped pot limit from $300 to $800 in October of 2014...I think they also raised the jackpot limit on gaming machines from $800 dollars as well at the same time and live poker tournaments can have a bigger buy in too...but never really play machines here and tournaments aren't much to talk about as they usually only get between 15-30 runners or so and are more like sit n gos.
