    Hi -

My husband and I are heading to Las Vegas for the first time in June* to celebrate our 25 year anniversary, which falls a few days before our trip. We have a pretty frugal budget, so we plan to spend our time people-watching, lazing by the pool, and sight seeing - in general relaxing more than gambling.

We have "free" tickets to Blue Man Group as part of a promo for when we booked (the Uecker seats in the very last row), and with my husband not wanting to go to any of the Cirque shows, I'm looking at getting tickets to a classic Vegas showgirl revue, or a comedy, or maybe a burlesque show for the other nights we are there - as long it's not an arm and a leg (or so unique it's completely worth the money). I'm also reading up on reasonable places to eat (or avoid eating), and other things to do around the strip that don't require a car. We're at the Bellagio (got an amazing deal), but it sounds too pricey for when we want to gamble, so we'll probably sign up for the CET rewards and try out the penny slots or video poker at their casinos.

So, just checking in, will probably be more of a lurker, but may pop on a board or two with a question.

    * I had family who lived there when I was a preteen until around 20, so I did visit them a few times, but this is the first "over-21" visit ... well over 21 in fact!

Thanks Wanker, I saw that about CET and video poker - but I think it's still worth signing up for!

Welcome neighbor, just a little south of you :wave2: Have fun on your trip, just walk around and take it all in. Ballys has what I think is the last of the real showgirls, it might be worth checking out if that is what you are looking for, jubilee.
