One of my casino customers (Stevie D) turned me on to this forum and I have been reading away. He thought I may be able to contribute as well and so here I am to learn, to teach and to take the temperature of the gambling public. I've been on both sides of the counter professionally and I still get a lot of excitement out of all forms of gambling and the industry in general. I've visited casinos all over the world have noted the differences and similarities. Let the posting begin!

Welcome! You may want to read through some of Hunters posts to know what you have opened yourself up to : ) What company are you a host for, may I ask?

    Welcome to VMB!
Question 1) Are you a casino host?
Question 2) Are you in Vegas?
Question 3), If yes to Vegas, Strip, Downtown, or Other?
Question 4) Is Stevie D on VMB?

You are very vague with your intro and "Let the posting begin!"

This could be REALLY interesting as most hosts / persons employed by the casinos don't usually mention themselves in the same phrase as "gambling" or "gambler". I do not include sports gambling in this conclusion as playing BJ or craps it is not uncommon to discuss upcoming games or past disappointments due to the favorite team failing to step up.

It just seems strange to say "fellow" gamblers. Hopefully it will be interesting.

Well if this means anything I'm the only casino host I know who has had a casino host or hosts in my case. Does it make me a better host? I think it does. Does it make me a better gambler? I think it does as well.

Read the NYNY trip report and was impressed......I had just never met anyone in player services who associated with the gambling (gaming) side of the relationship. Previous interaction had been strictly service and satisfaction. Very refreshing especially on sports parlays which worked out in some cases. Hope no offense was taken as to the questioning of authenticity and looking forward to the furthering of this thread...
