Hello all I just put in my first post here and I thought I would introduce myself. I'm 33 years old originally from Buffalo/Rochester NY but have worked and lived in Houston for 9 1/2 years.

I've been to Vegas 6 times since 2009 but would go more if the wife didn't hate it and I always have to make such a big deal to get away for a few days on a solo trip to relieve some stress.

My gambling habits may be a bit different than most. I mostly play poker ($1/$2 NL) with some sports bets, VP, craps and the small time BJ thrown in from time to time. On a typical 3 day weekend trip I'll usually spend 30-40 hours at the poker tables, several hours in the sports books, 5+ playing VP and and maybe a few hours shooting craps and playing BJ. As you can imagine that leaves little time for sleeping or eating.

I keep very detailed gambling records and generally will average about $500+ in poker winnings. On sports gambling I generally make enough to cover the vig + am able to book a small win. I then generally lose a good chunk of my poker winnings playing craps, BJ and drinking "free" beers while playing VP at the bar.

Since my first trip I always stay downtown mostly at the MSS. I'll get to the strip to play poker when I don't like the games downtown but otherwise do all my eating and gambling DT.

Lastly I call myself the Da Nit because of my tight poker style and my nitty gambling habits. When I shot craps I only play passline with odds with occasional come bet, only 3/2 BJ, only 9/6 JOB VP. I shop lines all around DT for a $100 sports bet. I use ACG casino coupons every trip for free play and matchplays, you get the idea.

Make that 7 times to Vegas, it's hard to keep track.

    Welcome to the board!

I'm not a poker player, but I share your affinity for downtown. Boar's Head Bar is a great place to play 9/6 JoB and drink some great "free" beer.

Love the Boar's Head Bar. I love the decor, the 9/6 JOB, view out onto the casino and that evil craps pit. The bartenders here are really cool and I love the Marker Pale Ale on draft. I can usually be found at the Boar's Head around 4AM after a day and night of fleecing the drunks at the poker tables. I'm either playing VP or shooting the *&%@ with the bartenders as they restock and I'm basically the only person there.
