When do the hotels/casinos usually announce their entertainment schedules? I'm planning on going the weekend after Memorial Day with my family and we would like to catch one big show while we are there. We are not interested in seeing a production show, but we would like to see a headliner. I do realize that they are few and far between, as opposed to what Vegas was like in the70's and 80's. During that time there was a major entertainer at almost every hotel on the strip.

    When should I start looking???

You're right '75VWnut'...When trying to catch a 'headliner' in Vegas these days,
it's all about timing...if they're there when you're there... and it's usually on a weekend.

The Mirage features headliners in Terry Fator's Theater, watch their website...www.mirage.com
Treasure Island uses the MYSTERE showroom for their headliners...www.treasureislandlasvegas.com
The Las Vegas Hotel (ex LVHilton) has a rotation of headliners/music in their theater...www.thelvh.com
The Orleans has a good rotation in their theater...www.orleanscasino.com

I watch these 2 websites for upcoming Shows also...
    www.lvol.com
    www.searchlasvegasshows.com
And...there's always the Las Vegas Review Journal's Entertainment/Upcoming Show schedule www.lvrj.com

You really have to keep watching to catch these acts...All these schedules update regularly so you need to
continue to surf 'em.....the sooner you see something you're interested in, the better chance you have of
booking in advance for a good seat so.......keep checkin'!

On Vegas.com you can search for Headliners by the dates you will be in town. It is probably too early to see what Headliners are in town for Memorial Day but you can start checking early in the new year and those names should start popping up:
