It happened on the south side of Lac des Mille Lacs, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, on May 11, 2013! It destroyed more than 20 houses in 15 minutes! The ice looked like legs creeping up to residences.

I’m sure the homeowners wouldn’t agree…but that was f’ing awesome! :headbang: Ice Tsunami is way cooler than Sharknado!

I thought it was pretty hilarious when she started freaking out when it pushed through the door. What did she think was going to happen? It’s a wall of freakin’ ice.

It's like an old 60's B-horror movie. It was cool and interesting until she realized it wasn't going to stop.

It is an interesting phenomenon, but alas, it didn't take place near Thunder Bay. The video you see is from Dauphin Lake Manitoba and Mille Lacs Minnesota

I thought I remembered that happening on mille lacs last year or the year before, FYI its a big relatively shallow lake maybe 30 miles across, if you get strong steady winds with the right ice conditions(open water on one end with the winds pushing the ice the other way) stuff like that can happen. As I recall quite a few homes/cabins were destroyed.
