I have comp offers from a few places. Planning a business trip in March and seriously thinking about booking 2 rooms, one being close to the convention center. We're already booked at Bally's. I'm just thinking it would be nice to relax or even nap for a while, especially since it won't cost me much. Thoughts?

As long as I checked us in, I wouldn't need to go back to check out, right?

Personally, I have not double booked but many members post they do to take advantage of free play or food offers. As long as you want to take the time to check in/out - they would never know the difference.... Go for it!!

I have double booked with no issues. As you probably already know, make sure to give both hotels enough play or you may see your offers reduce.

Yep had a suite booked at Wynn just for the golf tourney but stayed at the Skylofts the entire week.

    It's quite common actually.

Yep. Double booked a night on our second trip so that we could experience a second casino without committing an entire trip there.

I will routinely triple book (hey, I am Pay Triple! ) at the Aria, Cosmo, and PHo since they are all easy walks to each other and importantly they are three different companies. I do it for the free play and give the extra rooms to any guests that trip. I do play at all three places enough to keep getting offers.

Awesome! I've thought about giving the room to someone. The only problem is that I don't know them very well and don't want to get hit with any cc charges after the fact.

Have them put their name on the room together with yours and put their credit card on file for that room.
This way you don't have to worry.

Exactly. Check in together and make the other person use their card for the hold.

I was put up by my employer for a conference in New Orleans, and I also had a room comped through Harrah's down their (CET). I took the free room and then sent an e-mail to my friends that basically said, "First two people to commit to being in NOLA for that weekend can crash in this room." A couple guys I know took me up on it, and then I pretended to go to the conference while actually raging my taint off.

My concern has always been putting in the minimum amount of play so I don't get "spanked" or worse yet, dropped.

New Orleans 7* retreat. Food, food, and more food . . . .
    Tentatively Tahoe or LV . . . .

I once, on a visit downtown for half a day while staying on strip, checked into the MSS and just threw my keys into the room and shut the door to get my $75 freeplay which required a hotel stay.

That certainly dried up my Boyd offers lol. Now when I go downtown I mainly play at The D and sometimes stay, which doesn't require a stay for freeplay and match play.

I only play table games craps, baccarat, single zero roulette, $500 avg bet per hand
But my bets vary from $100 up to $6400, since I use a limited Martingale system.

Total about 8 to 10 hours gambling per day.
6 hours/day at the Cosmo since it is my main base.
Then about 2 hours avg at each of the other places, just enough to keep getting offers for free rooms

We did it last year stayed at 4 queens and booked a extra room at quad on strip. Worked out great although we only took a couple naps there. Saved hours of travel time and transportation $$$
