I don't stay at CET or MGM hotels, but for those who do, what is the point of a comp if you have to pay a resort fee? How is that a comp?

If my favorite place (Red Rock) started charging a resort fee on a comped room, I'd walk.

For me, who prefers to stay on the strip...the resort fee only with no room fee...is still a great bargain. and i am where i want to be for a few days in town.

freez - if you are Diamond there is no 7 star, however yo don't receive the amenities (such as internet) that you get included in RF. However, public areas at CET now have free wi-fi & if you connect while in the casino area you can normally hold it up to your room & continue to use.

I remember the good ole days of not paying the resort fee, but I don't sweat it now either. The wifi has improved, CET has put a lot of money in their properties and if you travel a lot you realize its still a pretty damned good deal. Its the gambling that makes or breaks a trip, not the resort fee.

Exactly. $30 a night for a $100 hotel room is still money in the bank in my book. I know the resorts-fee fighters hate it when people willingly oblige a money grab like this, but I don't really have any other options if I want to stay on the strip.
