I can stay there with my timeshare as well as the Wyndham Grand Desert (but that's a bit off-strip) and was wondering what is it like.

Pictures that I've seen don't look too bad and the pool looks decent on the roof (although not a party pool).

I see it's right behind the Hawaiian Marketplace and smack in the center of the action out the door (PH right across Harmon, MGM Grand next door, City Center across the strip).

    What was your experience there?

I don't like these resort fees that have become commonplace and would like to avoid them.

I have stayed back in the 1996.. Place is (or was) pretty nice.. Upscale clientele, no casino. Closest major casino is the MGM.. Room I had I got through a travel agent friend and was small and seemed to be like a standard hotel room. Reason for this was it was a Comdex convention and everything was booked at the time. I assume there are larger rooms/suites. Again, no casino but it is a short walk to the MGM.. , Planet Hollywood (The Aladdin) was a little further away.

I have a friend who flies in from Denver a couple times a year with his wife and swears by the place! He just loves it!
