I got two comped nights at Harrah's via my players card(haven't been to Vegas in 3 years, so it was all I could get). Is it a nice room? Decent hotel? I've gambled there and I thought it was ok for it was, not big but kinda fun and manageable. Just curious on the rooms or if I should just pay to stay somewhere else? I'm using myvegas points for 2 weekend nights at NYNY. Thank you.

nothing wrong with Harrahs rooms or casino
we always have fun there, and usually stay there every other time we hit Vegas
we hop around CET places and usually end up back at Harrahs
    Just feels like home!!

That's my favorite strip casino. Easy to get from your room to the casino and strip. I think it's a good home base. Gambling is fun. Drink service is still good and it's close to a lot of good stuff. And you can catch the monorail and get to the other end of the strip pretty fast.

Clean rooms, short walks from room to strip...I like it.

Are you Diamond? I usually request MG tower HIGH Diam floor overlooking TI.
There are some suites.. I like the 1 BR end of hall. Nice & quiet, very spacious.
Who knew Harr had such nice rooms.
    Our little secret. lol

I prefer Harrah's and stay there more than any other hotel. For me location is just too convenient, rooms clean & comfortable and almost always comped.

It used to be a Holiday Inn and it still feels like a Holiday Inn. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing. You get a basic clean room in a mid level hotel at a good price (in your case free) with a good location.

I don't like the casino all that much, but who cares. There are many within walking distance. The location can't be beat.
And the rooms, as noted are clean but reasonably appointed. If you stay way in the back away from the strip like I did, it's quiet as well.
The piano bar is fun, if it's still in operation.

Like most have said, they're nothing special but the rooms are usually a decent size and clean. I've stayed a few times there and never had an issue. The casino itself never really grabbed me but it's a quick walk to the strip and a great location. Also a quick walk to the monorail station if you're using it to get around.
