Any advice/info I should know about this casino? We're leaving next week for San Diego and area for a week so thought we'd stop in here.

We're VP players. Any good pay schedules?

I'll take SD advice too. We've been to the zoos and Sea World so won't do those again.

This was a trip to burn up some air $ that had to be used before year end so we haven't put much thought into it.

Harrahs So-Cal (aka: Harrahs Rincon) is nice...shouldn't be too crowded now that it's winter (in the summer, on the weekend, it gets CRAZY there)
They USED to have decent pay scales..but I heard they cut down to like 9/5 DDB and 7/5 BP...
Don't forget to walk around GasLamp District, Mission Bay Park, Ocean and Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Coronado Island, and probably a ton of other stuff I'm forgetting.

If you are flying into San Diego, tour the USS Midway which is near the airport.

Most of the few remaining decent VP games are at the $5 level like Aces and Faces. The rooms in the new tower are quite nice.

The flight into San Diego is a thrill ride! You come in LOW over the buildings. Last January I swear I could read the India Street sign out the window of the plane!

Go up coast a tick and knock around Solana Beach
Check out across south county and SD perhaps the hottest craft brew scene going right now
Road trip up through Julian and then down to Borrego Springs; hike the palm canyons. Overnight at La Casa del Zorro
See a Chargers game before LA gets stuck with them
If you play golf let me know and I'll give you some thoughts

Thanks. I've circled these suggestions on a map. A week seemed fine when we were booking, maybe should have added a few more days.
