Is there a preferred/nicer/recently upgraded tower at Harrahs? Looking to book about 10 rooms Friends and Family for April Wedding. Whats the diff between Mardi Gras and Carnival rooms? Have never stayed at Harrahs so completely in the dark (property has the best rates during the weekend I need). Thanks!

Mardi Gras tower had more recent renovations, but are closest to Carnival Court and noise at night. Harrah's has slowly been remodeling some blocks of room. I know the executive suites have gotten refreshes.
Most if not all have gotten soft good updates. Bottom line you stand the most chance of getting an older more worn room in the Carnival Tower.

Is there a particular reason you are choosing Harrahs (eg Room Comps, easy of access to casino, location)? Bally's is considered in the same tier as Harrahs and I find the location / quality of rooms slightly better.

Funkhouser- exactly the info I was looking for! Appreciate the heads up on CC noise with Mardis Gras tower. Will actually be spending quite a bit of time at Carnival with Flippy and the crew during days. I avoid it it at night once DJ starts so did not even occur to me about noise at night. And as to why harrahs? Simply based on lowest rates center Strip for the weekend of Apr 23. I have stayed at Ballys a few times. Basic rooms are fine, yet I dislike casino. Bad vibe, boring, smoky. Stayed at Ballys week before Thanksgiving actually, and encountered 3 of the rudest, unprofessional, and no help staff I have ever dealt with in nearly 60 trips to Las Vegas. Prefer CP, but budget sometimes dictates otherwise. ;-)

I will give a call to Total Experience Friday. Thank you for the heads up, KPS. Maybe will change up home base for guests if the price is right. Looking at about 10 rooms needed now.
