I've stayed at Harrah's before, for some reason, this time was different. Even before, the rooms where never something to brag about, but I liked the old placed. My last 2 stays where at Caesars, that place I needed a taxi to get a cup of coffee. The stays where free as this one was. We stayed in the carnaval tower, high roller room. The room came with no refrigerator, you needed a written medical excuse, insulin or whatever, no coffee maker, no mini bar [didn't care]. If you wanted a mini refrigerator, cost was $50.00. We had an excellent maid, she explained this as we asked questions. My wife has a special knee brace [no written excuse] that required to be placed in a refrigerator, [operation 3 weeks ago]. This maid said, don't call down stairs, she would take care of it. And she did, within 2-3 minutes she wheeled in a mini refrigerator, and brought us a coffee maker with several packs of coffee. I had a 10 dollar bill, but gave her 20 instead. She was very kind. She said if anything we needed, talk to her directly, no down stairs, they charge for everything now. The next day she gave us several towels and 2, no cheapy, new robes!! I thought spirit airlines was going to charge us for having overweight luggage. The room was an average, old, but clean, 27th floor, view of the big ferris wheel, high roller, I could see valet parking, no view of the strip. No big deal, we spent little time in there anyway. But Harrah's has lost that old vibe I liked, just wasn't jumpy as in the past. It wasn't dead, just different. Also, I didn't care to much for the Fulton street food hall, rather wish they had a regular 24 hour restaurant, like before. We did have dinner 1 night at Ruth's chris, rib eye was good. Breakfast at the buffet. Seeing Rod Stewart and the Jersey boy show made the trip great, it's been about 3 years and boy has the strip changed , loved the free acts out side in front of Caesars, reminded me of old atlantic city. Next free trip to Vegas, we won't be staying at Harrah's, probably stay at Caesar's again, just get a motorized cart, that placed is so big or Paris. For all it's worth, Harrah's is ok. Also, before we left, I gave that kind maid another $25.00, she was worth it, every morning she checked on us. Where ever you stay, take care of that maid, stick a few bucks in that envelope,,,,,every day. We miss Vegas already!! Viva Las Vegas!!!

We've stayed at Harrah's a few times in the past, and yes, for some reason we just like the place, the location rocks!! The next upcoming trip we decided to spend a couple of night there again. Hopefully, we won't lose what love we had for the place either. We'll see.........

Just wondering with your comped room from Harrah's did you by any chance get a email offer to upgrade to a Executive Suite for $50 per night.....we got that offer last year and it was a nice room for the extra money and are hoping we get that offer again this year.
