Due to not going to LasVegas in years our comp rooms have dried up.
All we have is Harrah's High Roller rooms comped.

Mardi Gras vs. Carnaval? Which is better for a high roller room.

Which is updated (as much as can be expected for Harrah's).
    and
    equally as important
    Which will be quieter.

Trip isn't until April so I can cancel if something better comes along, but if I don't book something I'll keep putting it off.

    Can you help me?

Harrah's High Roller view rooms are fine. You also get a fantastic view of the sunrise, if you are up that early and if your room is high enough. And, you avoid the noise from the Carnival Court.

We avoid the Mardi Gras because in the past we have had problems with plumbing and HVAC. We won't accept a Mardi Gras room any more, even if it is a suite. We are both Diamond, so we pretty much get what we ask for.

Is the key to avoiding the noise from Carnival Court being high, or not being in Mardi Gras tower? Or both?

Just wondering, I'm also Diamond, what room do you ask for when you check in?

If you are on the 28th floor or higher in the Carnaval tower, the noise from the Carnival court is not bad. You may be aware of it but it is muffled.

You can avoid the Carnival Court noise in either tower by requesting a room "away from the Carnival Court." In the Mardi Gras, it would be in the wing facing the Mirage and TI. Nice view, really. Mirage gold against a blue sky. Great view of the volcano, or of the air conditioners if you are on the back side of the Mardi Gras.

We just say, "High floor, away from the Carnival Court." Sometimes we get upgraded to a suite, sometimes not. We do not ask for a suite. We just let it happen.
