At home, I sleep on the softest Tempur-Pedic they make. So when I travel, almost every bed feels rock hard to me. Harrah's claims their Carnival Tower rooms have "extra soft pillow top mattresses". The Mardi Gras rooms are said to have "pillow top mattresses". I can get a comp in either tower, so I'll be in for nothing except resort fees and taxes.

Can anyone speak to whether the mattresses really are different? Or whether you'd ignore that factor and specifically stay in one tower over the other? I'm TR Platinum, and I usually stay in a Bally's Jubilee room or at PH, and this will be my first stay at Harrah's.

I have not been in the rooms advertised recently (last stay was 2012), but past experience has taught me at CET properties they are not investing in high quality bedding at the low and mid tier properties. Even recently remodeled
Ballys Rooms, Flamingo, and Paris had your just average serta style hotel mattresses and basic hotel bedding. I think you are going to have to step up in hotel class since these midtier properties are not getting
the same soft goods found in the CET higher tier properties.

However if you can get comped at Cromwell or Caesars Palace (Octavius or Augustus Towers) the bedding is excellent and rivals Westin Heavenly beds, Wynn Hotel bedding, and Hyatt Grand Beds.
