I currently have a Bayview Tower Premium room. Is there any point to try try $20 sandwich?
It's always worth a shot, but the new management is horrible and watch the front desk transactions like a hawk. Also, they now reserve the right to assign you whatever is available and don't guarantee the room type you reserved. This is why I will never go back. New management took over a little more than a year ago. Just my experience and take on Harrah's AC. I'm exclusive Borgata now. I'll be there tomorrow.
We haven't stayed in Bayview in several years but it wasn't a bad room back then. It is LOUD in Bayview on the weekends because of the pool party. Try the sandwich and ask for Waterfront tower (higher floor, even room # faces Absecon Inlet and not the pool). It seems the higher the floor, the less raucous 20somethings. Yes, I'm picky.
My experience is that during the week when it's slow, they will upgrade us without asking to watertower but on the busy weekends, they act like we're lucky to even get a room they are so full. If you want a small suite you can ask for Atrium. They're smokey and not so nice but you do get separate bed room and living room which is nice if you are two people and one wants to watch TV while the other goes to bed.
And despite their "good night sleep" policy where you're supposed to be quiet after 10pm, they don't enforce it.
We're arriving on a Sunday and leaving on a Thursday.
Sunday should be fine for a free upgrade without a sandwich. The only thing I can say is the check in/out line is going to be enormous unless you are 7 stars. Good luck and win big.
Last sun. afternoon there was maybe a 15 min. wait when we arrived at about 1:45 ,they did have a lot of clerks on duty which helped. Maybe I'm lucky or a sound sleeper but I've never heard any noise from the pool all the times we've stayed in the Bayview on weekends.
It really depends in who's playing at the pool and the time of year. Summers are rough.
