had a lemon filled this morning
I have no idea what that is, but happy day anyway. Especially when you cover it in powdered sugar.
They are like donut sandwiches
Man, why did I click on this thread????
Now I want one!
They look Amazing.
I've never had one, but I'll keep my eyes open for an opportunity to try one. I'm not aware of any place nearby to get one. I looked at the website for our little bakery in a town nearby, but they don't have them today. Darn it. They do have beignets for Mardi Gras, but not quite the same.
Hmm.. Chicago is the second largest Polish city in the world I believe... got a Polish area where you are at?
I got chocolate custard, custard, and strawberries with whipped cream and 1 blueberry....
I'd ship one to you but no way it'd hold up! or make it in the box!
My mouth has been watering for them today.
I hear they have police directing traffic at the bakeries!
I picked up a 1/2 dozen filled with Bavarian cream on Sunday, but they are all gone - sigh.
My nutritionally balanced breakfast
Gotta get your vitamin C... don't want scurvy
We had a boxful of Bavarian cream yesterday...I like the raspberry jelly, but figured that would be overkill if I bought another box today
I'm observing both cultures today.
I had a jelly-filled Paczki for breakfast this morning, and I'm getting ready to go to a Mardi Gras party this evening.
Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler!
Haha we did both I went to a Cajun place for lunch. Cup of gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, and an oyster po boy.
I bought 6 dozen for about 30 people. They were gone by lunch!
I was told later that some people were not feeling well...imagine that.
I really thought there would be plenty of left over for people to take home...silly me.
My wife being from Chicago, we were going to celebrate today, but she forgot to pick up the box of munchkins on the way home from work. D'oh(nuts)!
I'm not even a Pollock, but I'll never turn down a doughnut. Got mine this morning.
Lady gaga tells a story of how bet grandpa made those. I think. Looks great! Let's get some delivered.
Uber was delivering them in the Detroit area today. They would drive to Hamtramck to get them. Another was making alcohol laced ones. Had bits of custard, lemon, apple and raspberry.
I grew up near Chicago and have a little Polish in me :confused2: and why have I never heard of these?!?!!
I feel I was robbed of what looks like a magical experience! (and probably 50lbs)
