Im thinking of doing my first ever solo trip to vegas, and i have always wanted to go for halloween. Are vegas hotels pretty decorated during october or is it only the haunted houses and off strip attractions that decorate? Is there a particular strip hotel that goes all out besides Circus Circus? Is halloween a bad time to visit solo? I would like to do what i want, when i want and not be on someone elses schedule or feel like i have to "hurry up" when im gambling.

Never a bad time for solo trip. lol

Not too much happens Halloween-wise. I've done a few tourneys during Halloween, and theres some
decorations in there. Some around, but Not alot. Some tourists or employees dress up.
But as a whole, its never seemed to be a big occasion to me.
Except if Phish or Jimmy Buffet in concert in town.....THEN I've seen some crazy costumes. lol

This will be my 3rd Halloween trip, as a solo.
    Love it downtown!
It does get a little crazy and packed, and lots of costumes to see.

Casinos don't go all out for hollowed like you think the might but their clubs normally have a theme night and some even themed parties and contests. We prefer VooDoo lounge on the 51st floor rooftop of the Rio and drink the smoking Witch Doctor drink.

People are pretty much everywhere in costume but downtown has a parade and it gets crazy and crazy crowded.

You should not worry about being solo we never find it hard socializing in Vegas. So get your costume packed and ready to go!

Don't think you'd be disappointed in Vegas at Halloween. No, masks are not allowed in the casino, but are allowed at costume parties and there are plenty. Some with $30,000 in prize money, some with $10,000. A DJ is usually involved so it's more for my set of sons and friends. Haven't been for couple years but MB does a Halloween slot tournament and it's def dress up. I'm not much of a dresser but I will show up with just an eye mask. The tourney area is themed and decorated. There are freeplay prizes at the final dinner. There is also the (can't remember what is it called, the Zombie Walk? down LVB at a certain time before nightfall)...Several of the casinos do have separate Halloween parties accompanied by a tourney of sort for their invited guests. Boo! My son and 3 of his friends had these on one Halloween and they were stopped by security at the bottom of the elevators, after leaving the room.
