I am a regular All Hallows' Eve daemoness that stays downtown. I know there are many free shows and a few "extra" events to attend. I am putting this thread up to have a place for all downtown EVENTS to be posted on.

The big event my group of gals is attending is the Fetish Ball, (not downtown) but we will be in the DT area every day leading up to it. The "monster mash" stage shows should be in full force and free to anyone walking the old DT route. I know the Gate has had a few "nurse" chairs set up in the past...several places have HOTT dealers dressed up...Tons of people just dressed up in costumes wandering around...more traffic in general.

Pls add any KOOL things that you know of or have seen.

I'm going to be in Las Vegas 10/23/12-11/01/12. My first time in Vegas during Halloween! Hope I can handle it.
So, is Downtown, the place to be?
I have tickets for a show on 10/27 at Mandalay Bay.
Will things be happening on that Saturday (10/27) downtown or actually on the Halloween date 10/31?

This will be my third Halloween downtown. The past two, there were parades throughout downtown that went down to the east side of Fremont Street and finished at Gold Spike. Lots of costumes everywhere on Fremont, much more so than what I saw on the strip at Wynn, Mirage, Luxor, etc during Halloween. The strip nightclubs will be bursting with Halloween flavor, though, and lots to see there. Overall, I'd say that downtown has more of the holiday flavor. The FSE canopy is constantly projecting spooky scenes and Halloween music and sound effects, in betweeen their themed hourly video shows. Definitely in the spirit.

Halloween downtown was a lot of fun, so much so that I'm going back this year, although it's looking like I'm going to the Guns 'n' Roses concert on Halloween night at the Hard Rock.

There's an urban obsticle race with zombies downtown on the 27th. After that there's a world record attempt, for the most people simultaneously dancing to "Thriller" (14,000) under the Fremont Street canopy. I don't plan to participate, but it should be fun to watch!

I have been downtown for Halloween for the last 4 years. I like that I cannot tell the difference between the street performers and the tourist's in costumes. Binions used to have an awesome electric chair out front, but the last couple of years it was missing. Looking forward to the zombie thing and the Screamatorium at Las Vegas club. I will be there for 3 nights, the 27th thru 30th.

My only complaint about Halloween is that the weather is rather unpredictable. A couple of times it was horrible windy. Halloween is usually my last visit to Vegas until spring.

What I love about Halloween. From Mean Girls -

Cady: Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.

Now that is the kind of thing that makes America Great!

I found the parade to be a bit overrated as far as a spectacle goes. Lots of great costumes and characters, just poorly run.

Coming home a few days before Halloween (downtown the 23rd-26th), would it be wierd to still dress up even if it's a few days early. Nothing elaborate, just think it would be cool playing BJ or craps wearing a funny getup. :evillaugh

A few days early wouldn't be near as out of place compared to a few days after. If your not self conscious, go for it.

It looks like Fremont Street has TWO new Halloween attractions:

The Asylum on 3rd Street and Fremont:

    http://www.lasvegashaunts.com/

and Screamont by Amazing Jonathan inside Las Vegas Club:

    http://www.thescreamont.com/

At least the second one explains what the heck's been going on there.
